Our dedicated team of local people are our greatest strength, we pride ourselves in investing in the development of our people, creating a team of trusted property professionals.
Peter was raised in Northamptonshire, educated at Wellingborough School. He spent his first three years as a student at Shirecliffe College in Sheffield, reading Estate Management and Valuation. Peter is a Fellow of the National Association of Estate Agents and has over 40 years of estate agency experience, with a passion for and an intimate understanding of the buying and selling of property in the countryside.

Christine’s early years were in Surrey, moving to North Yorkshire when she was eight, educated at Easingwold School. During her earlier career, she worked for Barclays Bank, moving from Hull, to Thirsk, then to York Parliament Street as a personal banker and then on to Kirkbymoorside Branch in 1987. In 1988 she became a mother and brought up her sons Alex and William (William now a Chartered Rating Surveyor and director with Savills in the City of London) and initially joined the business as a bookkeeper. She has been a partner in the business for over 20 years, responsible for the financial aspects of the business and conducts viewings.. Christine and Peter met through Young Farmers at a raft race at Cundall. Christine was with Easingwold Young Farmers and Peter with Helmsley. Christine has been married to Peter for over 38 years.
Christine has a keen interest in country life, she is secretary to Marton and Normanby Village Hall Committee and has a particular interest in her dogs Tilly and Ginny and her horse Ellie, nothing makes her happier than going out on a hack in the North York Moors National Park with her riding friends. She is an accomplished cook and great at entertaining and a true support to Peter.

Sharon is the PA to Peter Illingworth, Senior Sales Negotiator and deals with the HR, she has been with the business for the last 16 years and has proved herself to be a most valuable member of the team, as well a highly regarded sales professional by sellers and buyers alike. She is based in the Kirkbymoorside Office.

Diane has been in estate agency most of her working life. She is the longest serving employee of Peter Illingworth, with over 21 years of service, she is totally dependable and highly trusted, being a very experienced, professional skilled negotiator and administrator.
