Ryedale Property Prices Outperform in 2017

Peter Illingworth Ryedale Estate Agent has taken a look at the final year figures that have just been released from the Land Registry for 2017, the house price rises in the Ryedale authority have significantly out-performed the authorities of York, Harrogate, Hambleton and Scarborough.  Flats and maisonettes have provided the highest annual  house price growth in Ryedale with 10.5%, followed by semi-detached at 10.2%, terraced 9.0% and detached at 8.7%.

 

York authority annual house price growth 2017:

Detached 0.7%

Semi-Detached 1.6%

Terraced 1.4%

Flats and Maisonettes 2%

 

Scarborough authority annual house price growth 2017:

Detached  0%

Semi-Detached 1%

Terraced 0.2%

Flats and Maisonettes  0.4%

 

Hambleton authority annual house price growth 2017:

Detached  Minus (2.7)%

Semi-Detached  Minus (2.0)%

Terraced Minus (2.6)%

Flats and Maisonettes  Minus (3.9)%

 

Harrogate authority annual house price growth 2017:

Detached  3.8%

Semi-Detached 4.6%

Terraced 4.2%

Flats and Maisonettes  4.4%

 

Peter Illingworth thinks house prices in Ryedale will continue to be buoyant as the stock levels are extremely low and properties continue to come to the market in a trickle.  “Should volumes return to the market then the picture could change quite quickly, however the housing market in the Ryedale area had been quite flat for many years and what we have been seeing may well be a market correction”, said Peter Illingworth
