Good Ofsted Reports are a key Driving Factor for the Ryedale Housing Market

Despite the unsettling times we are living in, the demand for Ryedale Housing is driven by necessary basic needs.  We all have to have roofs over our heads.  The current lockdown is increasing pressure further on parents in choosing the next school to send their children to.  Schools with good Ofsted reports are highly sort after and to have any certainty of getting a place you must live within the catchment area.  Parents who have been planning to move may have been caught out by the lockdown and therefore their child may not qualify for the chosen school.

Hot spots for property in northern Ryedale include properties within the catchment area of Ryedale School, drawing on students from the market towns of Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside, as well as the villages of such as Ampleforth, Nawton, Beadlam, Harome, Oswaldkirk, Nunnington, Hovingham, Sproxton, Hawnby, Gillamoor, Fadmoor, Pockley etc.  Family homes are sought after, however the supply for these has been extremely limited post Brexit.

Good village schools such as Sinnington Primary School are in demand, at the time of writing spaces are stated as being available on their website, however, very few suitable properties post Brexit have come to the market in catchment area, such as in the villages of Marton, Normanby, Appleton le Moors and the village of Sinnington itself.

If you are looking to sell post lockdown and you have a property that fits into this category in these areas, there is every reason to be heartened with a very good chance of a buyer waiting in the wings.
